Went to watch 2012 before my ridiculous socio lesson ystd.
Why do I say that my sociology lesson is ridiculous? Because it is held at 7pm to 10pm! OMG! who would still be abl;e to concentrate at this time??? Zzzz...
Anyway, I would say that 2012 is a very watchable movie, the CG is prefect! It looks so completely real that I have real fear in me that the world is going to end in 2012.

Saturday Celebration with my jie mei!!!

Last Saturday, my jie mei celebrated my birthday for me at Orchard... LOL, it has been a long time sice we saw each other except for me and Alison. I haven't seen mer since like, we got our A-Levels results maybe? So i was super looking forward to it haha!
Anyway, we met up and decide that instead of Pepper Lunch (I dun really like Pepper Lunch) we should go to taka basement and go ala carte. So we settled down and had 'lunch' and then cake for desserts... LOL...
After that me adn Al went shopping from taka then to far est. We even went over to ion orchard but nothing caught our fancy. Howeverr, the traffic condition was totally horrible!!!! The bus track metre first read 5 mins, so we waited. after 15 mis, it jumped up to 09. Never mind, we waited again... After 30 mins, when it finally counted down to 07 mins, it jumped back to 8 mins again! Ridiculus ah !!!

过去把女孩儿拉入寂寞与孤独的隧道中。
她在阴暗的隧道里不断徘徊， 寻找着解脱的出口。
但是她被黑暗围绕着， 在伸手不见五指的狭小空间满是害怕。
终于， 女孩见到了隧道尽头的曙光。
虽经回忆飓风般的不断地袭击， 疲惫不堪的女孩仍用尽全力，往光线的方向前进。
然而，在触碰到光线的前一刻，她手却迟疑了。
因为在隧道里呆了太久，

OMG! 2 more days to the anniversary of my blog!!!
Lol... My schedule is already quite booked up on Saturday sia lol... Afternoon lunch with Alison, night dinner with clique, anyone want to book me for supper? LOL! Just kidding!!!!
But strangely I'm totally dateless on my actual day MWAHAHA... Oei people, you all beri the farni leh, ridiculous ah!!!
Anyway, my birthday falls on a friday this year, so I hope the Black Friday curse will not come true... This is my first single birthday since the BU. I can still rmb that last year he popped up at my house on 13th Nov together with my BBF, and I was really really surprised... But...往事已成过眼云烟,如今剩下的只是深藏心里的纪念...
Aniwae, for this year birthday wishes, first I hope that the Korea(both region) will just LIVE IN PEACE with each other!!! Sheesh! You're all Korean right? So why fight with each other? Isn't it bad enough that families are already separated because of this North Korea South Korea thingy and now you're fighting each other? Goodness...
Secondly, please people, stop abusing the poor animals, and dun use fur products! Put yourself in their shoes for a second, how would you feel if your skin is removed from you while you're still conscious? Yes, dun give me the "they give the animals anesthetics crap". More than often they either will tazor them, or just beat them up. You should go to the PETA website to watch the secret video that they took at this western skinning factory. The poor foxes will repeatedly throw themselves against the cage as they are already driven to insanity by the confinement. Some of them would even start eating themselves! Please people, the only way we can help to solve this problem is to boycott the fur industry. Go synthetic...
Third wish: For people to just live together peacefully... Things like the genocide in Rwanda, and the riot in China Xin Jiang to never EVER happen again... We're all the same with two eyes and a nose a mouth and two ears! No one is more superior than the others. In fact, I feel that if you think you're of a higher standard of the others, its called inferiority complex.
LAst but not least hehe... (Its presents list) I want a MANSION!!! LOL, just kidding... I hope I can find a white and cuddly kitty plushie!!! I dun dunderstand why all the huggable ones are all teddy bears, not that I dun like teddy bears, just that cats would be cuter LOL... And I hope that I can get another music Box!! LOL I totally ROZ music box, especially one with the love story music....

3 Days 2 Nights of Craziness

Friday-----Start of JL's Awesome party!!!! The three of us, (me, xl, jl) set off from school with me obviously having the biggest bag. I can never understand why people can bring so little stuff to chalet? What if you need something and its not there cause you didn't pack it in? Okay I admit i over-packed, but seriously, it was my blunder and not on purpose okay? I just brought a couple of duplicate just in case someone needs it wad...='(
NS met us at tb mrt, and then she was telling me how a weird day it was because she keeps seeing weird people. LOL!!! Then when we reached the chalet, we went to put down our bag, and we went off to explore the place and find somewhere to makan. XL and JL suggested buffet sho we went over to the E!Hub, lookng for places to eat but Sakura's dinner buffet doesn't start until after 6 and it was only 5+++. So we end up eating at Fish and Co Express LOL... And at our age, we went for the students meal!!! (Some why I feel like we're cheating them but it is true that we are still students, just older LOL)
After dinner, we went up to look around in Fairprice, where we wanted to get the BBQ stuff for saturday evening. We couldn't decide whether the prices were higher than usual (that's usually the case in these kind of places) But we still bought our stuff there eventually after HM joined us.
We walked around the whole place, grabbing things like chicken franks-wings-fillet, and seasonings as well as the necessities for BBQ. After getting the stuff which added up to nearly 100 bucks, we went back to the chalet to rest our feets. XL went for the tv immediately to watch the Channel 8 show as it was the last epi, and the rest of us were just lazing around. When the show ended, the boys went to work with the frozen food as we were planning to marinate the stuff that night. Eventually, all 5 of us ended up in the small preparation 'room'(^^) and the boys were chased out to gay with each other in the room (JL and XL please dun kill me =P) while us 3 superwomen took over LOL. GIRLS POWER!!!!!!!
The breaking of the chicken wing joints were disgusting as you could hear the 'plock' sound as each joint were dislocated... (PS: JL, is that wad you hear when you dislocated your arm? Eww...) Then we washed it and poured in the seasonings and went down to getting our hands dirty!!! It was really fun as it was my first time doing it haha! The two guys were sent out to get dinner for HM and after we finished off, we just left the room in the state it is with all the mess around. For the boys to clean up after they come back LOL...
When the boys came back with the food, we setted (is there such a word?) down for SHABU SHABU!!! Usually I would leave beef alone as I dun like its taste, but somehow the Shabu Shabu was without that weird taste of beef and we had fun 'steaming' the meat, like wad either Xl or JL said. LOL... How to steam the meat i dun understand LOL...
After we finshed the meat, we played some card games like Taidi and Heart Attack... OOMG, HA was suer funny LOL... The night continued on as the rest joined us at nearly 11 pm, and things like movie (Poker King) and Mahjong came in. As the night continued on, JL, PY and I tried to get some sleep as we were super duper sleepy but PY was the only person who was able to sleep with the terrible racket Xl was making over mahjong. I just close my eyes and rested without falling asleep.
Saturday--- One fine day... Morning: went out for breakfast at BK. The rest went back to the chalet to play bridge, JL and I went over to the arcade... and PS to JL: I dun suck at table soccer okay? I give you chance oni >P
Afternoon: Tried to sleep again but still totally CMI cause mahjong and bridge started again...
Evening: COOK BBQ
Night: Watch DVD. Sleep on the mahjong table for about 1 hour on off as the bed was comepletely occupied. Stone as I wasn't able to get to sleep again. LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

He's really a great actor as he manage to portray Snape as some more even more interesting in the movie.
His scene though short, are always captivating...
Alan Rickman has a charm when depicting Severus Snape that makes it almost impossible to move your eyes away when he comes onto the screen...
His every movement gives out elegance, true to his name as the Half Blood Prince...
Alan Rickman did a great job with all the expression...
Even a cold expression that Snape always wears on his face, there's a lot of emotions going on in his black eyes...
His voice is eerily soothing...

Corpse Bride
Wonderful storyline, nice clash of colours and out of the world imagination put to work.
I love the songs, I love the bride (I believe she was named Emily), the groom Victor, the spiders in the underworld and the maggot in Emily's eyes.
The songs are catchy and meaningful, just like the Omppa Lumpas' songs in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The way how Victor went from being afraid of Emily to falling in love. The way he went from wanting to escape from the Land Below back to the Land of the Living, to how he could bear to leave.
The way the spiders put life across in the song "Tears to Shed" when Emily was heart-broken that Victor had lied to her. "Everybody knows that's just a temporary state, which is cured very quickly when we met our fate!" the spider sung when Emily said that she couldn't compare to Victoria who "still breathes there".
I especially loved that part where Emily sacrificed herself so that the man that she loves, Victor, could be with a girl "worthy" of him, Victoria.
There's only two things I didn't like in the movie
Victoria, and the fact that Emily turned into hundred of butterflies after she sacrificed herself for Victor...
Eww... I almost screamed out in fear when the hundred of butterflies appeared on the movie screen, looking all too ready to pop out of the screen all thanks to 3D technology...
Hotel Rwanda
This is a movie based on the true account of one of the most horrifically ugly events in recent history, when the Hutu extremists of Rwanda initiated a terrifying campaign of genocide, massacring hundreds of thousands of minority Tutsis (who had been given power by the departed Belgian colonists), while the rest of the world looked on and did nothing.
The truth factor was what make this movie really attractive for me. The touching effect of the idea that the main character Paul was able to display such courage in the face of adversity just multiply with the fact that this was an true account of a great man whose couragous acts saved many others.
When the European guests and staff were all flown away from Rwanda, all that were left was just Paul Rusesabagina and a couple of the local staff.
Not only was he able to think fast on his feet to think of ways to save all the lives that lies in the very hotel that he lives in, he did not give up hope when people whom he trusted to help them disappointed him time and again. The local police that Paul always worked with no longer wants to be involved in helping to save the many refugees that the hotel was putting up. The rebels threatened to enter the hotel at any minute, everyone was scared out of their wits.
The UN did nothing to help but just took care of their own Euporean brothers and sisters, leaving behind the helpless refugees in a dangerous situation. With the backing of the United Nations gone, Paul and his many refugees found themselves to be danger constantly. Paul was only left with a mind and no military backing to work with. In the movie, he made used of human sympathy to try to get people in helping them. He requested individuals in the hotel whom had contacts with influential westerners to call them up.
As quoted from his lines, "Call them up, say your goodbyes to them. And when you say goodbye to them, make sure that you make it sounds like you are reaching out through the phones to hold their hands. Make them feel that if they let go of that hand, we will die. We will SHAME them into helping us." The tatic worked and soon, help arrived from the United Nation.
Overall, this is one of the few shows that can get me crying almost through half of the show. And if you had watched this movie before, personally, I feel that the most impact-ful part of the show was when Paul and his staff were driving in a foggy area. The ride suddenly turned very bumpy, and Paul said, "Oh my, you have driven off the road!" HIs companian replied that, "I'm very sure I'm still in the road!" And Paul frantically answered, "Stop the car! You are going to drive us into the river!" But when he got out of the car to investigate, he came to realised that they were indeed still on the road. HOwever, the road was now littered with the bodies of the murdered Tutsis. They were actually driving over the bodies, that was what made the ride very bumpy. The whole impact of the scene was terrific.
