I'm actually feeling bored after A-Levels!!!!!
Am I like going crazy?
Well... Actually... Almost everyone i know went overseas...
So I just did a couple of Things over the week like updating my story...

Yesterday was the end of A-Levels for my class. Except for me and Mer of course, we still got Computing on friday... Sianz like nobody's business... Anyway, our paper was in the afternoon, but me and Mer as usual, go to school earlier to study. But i was caught up in a stupid jam, and ended up being late. But when i reached, i went out through the lift door, and there was Melissa, holding the following in her hand.
Aiyoh... Its was like DAMN paiseh lah!!!! *%@%&*&&#%#^!!!!
Nevermind... It was really nice of her to remember that I once said i like this kind of balloons...Haha... Because it won't burst so easily!!!! Haha... But It was very funny... Everyone was like STARING at me. As in heads follow wherever i go... STARING.
My god.
So then after our paper our clique went Fish and Co to celebrate lor. We went shopping first, and I've got my eyes on a pair of shoes that i want to but for Dinner and Dance but we'll talk about that next time.
Finally, we stepped into Fish and Co, and Ta Da!!!!! Ziting and Kai Ying was lying in ambush, waiting to spring out at us three birthday girls. I was the first one up, and what ever happen next you can see it below.
This is when we first entered Fish and Co, then Ziting and Kai Ying gave us a surprise by popping up and they started singing a birthday song. Haha... They sang 3 times cause got 3 of us birthday!!! Lol... Can't imagine how many times they have to sing if there are like 10 people birthday at the same time?! 0_o
Everyone else in the restaurent was like STARING. Not to mention smiling. But haha... It was very funny, I feel like a movie star with so many eyes upon me... The food there was fabulous. REALLY fabulous. Yum Yummmy!!!!
The food was rather nice, the ambience is good... what else can I 嫌? I would recommend the seafood platter thing. I'm not a seafood person, but I've gotta admit the platter was very nice... Especially the prawns... Haha...
Being a Noob, I didn't know they will make us stand on the chair and let all the other people laugh at us.
Finally, what's a birthday bash with all those nice looking cream on the cake going to waste? They make good facial... Haha. I am AMUSED. Note the sarcasm, no lah haha... Just very embarrassing cause Fish and Co was very crowded...

Surprise from the duo

Haha... Today is mi Birthday,
Thanks to James and Melissa for giving me a BIG SURPRISE on this special day!!!!
It was 11 plus in the morning. There i was, wearing my night-dress... And then someone came knocking on the door. I went to see, and there was James.
So i was thinking what the hell! I opened the door, and Melissa jumped out at me, causing me to emit a scream and fall back onto the sofa in a heap.
So there they came lah... haha... It was scary but very fun...
My present was a beautiful musical box... Overall it was a nice day... I'll remember it for life.
Was pondering about when should I open up this blog... (The original plan was after the A's)
But a sudden urge made me opened it today...
18 years ago on today, i appeared for the first time in my life in Mount Elizabeth...
18 years later I'm sitting in front of my computer, witnessing the birth of my private thinking space (or blog, whatever you all want to call it)
I feel so...
Old.
Sigh...
Anyway... Thinking back... My greatest accomplishment this year was the starting of my fanfiction, do visit it... The link is somewhere up there among the Chinese words...
Okay...
Now for my birthday wishes...

Although he is really mean, he's true to Lily Evans to the very end...

And how he played double agent.
As an extra note, I love him even more when Alan Rickman was depicting him...
He's really a great actor as he manage to portray Snape as some more even more interesting in the movie.
His scene though short, are always captivating...
Alan Rickman has a charm when depicting Severus Snape that makes it almost impossible to move your eyes away when he comes onto the screen...
His every movement gives out elegance, true to his name as the Half Blood Prince...
Alan Rickman did a great job with all the expression...
Even a cold expression that Snape always wears on his face, there's a lot of emotions going on in his black eyes...
His voice is eerily soothing...

Corpse Bride
Wonderful storyline, nice clash of colours and out of the world imagination put to work.
I love the songs, I love the bride (I believe she was named Emily), the groom Victor, the spiders in the underworld and the maggot in Emily's eyes.
The songs are catchy and meaningful, just like the Omppa Lumpas' songs in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The way how Victor went from being afraid of Emily to falling in love. The way he went from wanting to escape from the Land Below back to the Land of the Living, to how he could bear to leave.
The way the spiders put life across in the song "Tears to Shed" when Emily was heart-broken that Victor had lied to her. "Everybody knows that's just a temporary state, which is cured very quickly when we met our fate!" the spider sung when Emily said that she couldn't compare to Victoria who "still breathes there".
I especially loved that part where Emily sacrificed herself so that the man that she loves, Victor, could be with a girl "worthy" of him, Victoria.
There's only two things I didn't like in the movie
Victoria, and the fact that Emily turned into hundred of butterflies after she sacrificed herself for Victor...
Eww... I almost screamed out in fear when the hundred of butterflies appeared on the movie screen, looking all too ready to pop out of the screen all thanks to 3D technology...
Hotel Rwanda
This is a movie based on the true account of one of the most horrifically ugly events in recent history, when the Hutu extremists of Rwanda initiated a terrifying campaign of genocide, massacring hundreds of thousands of minority Tutsis (who had been given power by the departed Belgian colonists), while the rest of the world looked on and did nothing.
The truth factor was what make this movie really attractive for me. The touching effect of the idea that the main character Paul was able to display such courage in the face of adversity just multiply with the fact that this was an true account of a great man whose couragous acts saved many others.
When the European guests and staff were all flown away from Rwanda, all that were left was just Paul Rusesabagina and a couple of the local staff.
Not only was he able to think fast on his feet to think of ways to save all the lives that lies in the very hotel that he lives in, he did not give up hope when people whom he trusted to help them disappointed him time and again. The local police that Paul always worked with no longer wants to be involved in helping to save the many refugees that the hotel was putting up. The rebels threatened to enter the hotel at any minute, everyone was scared out of their wits.
The UN did nothing to help but just took care of their own Euporean brothers and sisters, leaving behind the helpless refugees in a dangerous situation. With the backing of the United Nations gone, Paul and his many refugees found themselves to be danger constantly. Paul was only left with a mind and no military backing to work with. In the movie, he made used of human sympathy to try to get people in helping them. He requested individuals in the hotel whom had contacts with influential westerners to call them up.
As quoted from his lines, "Call them up, say your goodbyes to them. And when you say goodbye to them, make sure that you make it sounds like you are reaching out through the phones to hold their hands. Make them feel that if they let go of that hand, we will die. We will SHAME them into helping us." The tatic worked and soon, help arrived from the United Nation.
Overall, this is one of the few shows that can get me crying almost through half of the show. And if you had watched this movie before, personally, I feel that the most impact-ful part of the show was when Paul and his staff were driving in a foggy area. The ride suddenly turned very bumpy, and Paul said, "Oh my, you have driven off the road!" HIs companian replied that, "I'm very sure I'm still in the road!" And Paul frantically answered, "Stop the car! You are going to drive us into the river!" But when he got out of the car to investigate, he came to realised that they were indeed still on the road. HOwever, the road was now littered with the bodies of the murdered Tutsis. They were actually driving over the bodies, that was what made the ride very bumpy. The whole impact of the scene was terrific.

The typical scorpion stinger will lie awake nights figuring how to get even. These scorpions are seldom content with forcing the shoe on the other foot to teach enemies how it feels. They glue the sandal on with cement
