Here's a thanks to Alvin for bringing us out last night!!!
Well... here was what happened last night.
Finishing work at 2pm yesterday, me and ChengYang went to meet up with the others for lunch. Alvin came down as well, and we had a great and funny lunch at Subway. Then he suggested that we go out together, so there were a lot of brainstorm on our part, excluding ChengYang who was basically like, blanking out...0_o
So we ended up taking the MRT down to Bouna Vista at which we alighted and went over to the coffee bean over at Holland v for a coffee. I ordered ice Belgium Chocolate Latte which basically tasted like a super thick coffee with no hint of chocolate so i dun understand why do they call it iced Belgium Chocolate Latte...0_o
We talked all the way until 7++ in the evening and then we thought of going down to orchard so we went to take a bus. Thanks to Hongyun who directed us up the wrong bus, We ended up at 老巴刹, where we went for satay...^^
Then, after that we went to walk around a little as Alvin brought us to "see the world"...Well... the night was still young so actually there wasn't much to see lah... So after walking around a bit, we settled down for some drinks at this place which i didn't catch the name.
Well... Alvin then ordered some drinks for us... I got Baylis(I dunno how to spell la..)that ladies drink that wasn't really to my liking...And the others had "Sex on the beach" or something like that lah... So i sat there listening to them talk, drinking... feeling the heat rush as the drink went down my throat into my stomach for the first time in my life... Alvin was telling us very interesing things that is not suitable for mass audiences so i shan't put it here... But we ended the night with vodka lime and hong yun had this "Magaret" or something like that...Personally, i liked the vodka lime a lot better(whoops)
Overall, it was a really enjoyable night although i got into deep trouble when i reached home like 12++ and my mum was like FUMING... Shit... But it was worth the trouble that i got into...
Once again, THANKS ALVIN^^
Seeya guys..
PS: I didn't get a hangover... MWAHAHA

Hi People!
Sorry i ain't got the time to update lately...
I've alraedy recieved the rejection letter from NTU... Kinda expected... BUt still very sad to see it coming...
My ever cute grandmother Her Majesty is in the hospital after falling down on tues...
Apparently there wasn't any fractures but she couldn't walk and complained of this pain in her knees so they are keeping her for observation...
The first night she was okay, except that when they pushed her in for the hip x-ray, she started screaming for my aunt to help her as she said there were people trying to strangle her to death...-.-
Then she told my aunt that she was in the temple and saw somebody selling fried kway teow... double -.-
Then last night, she started saying that she was in the temple, and there were people around, chanting prayers... -.- until cannot -.- anymore...
Then comes the ultimate one:
She called my aunt in the middle of the night, telling her, "COME SAVE ME!!! THEY ARE TRYING TO BURY ME!!!! BOO HOO HOO... I'M GOING TO DIE TONGIHT! I'M GOING TO DIE TONIGHT!" She woke the entire hospital up.
But I can understand her fear... Hospitals can be really scary at night... especially if there is no one there with you...
"I pray for the fast recovery of my grandmother Lord, bless her with Your holy light. In Jesus name, Amen."

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!
Fine.
Mummy, I'm sorry i ate too much until I'm like a swollen balloon.
Daddy, I'm sorry I didn't study hard enough for A-levels and didn't get good enough results to get early replies from ANY universities.
God, I'm sorry my family is anti-christ.
Friends, I'm sorry that I didn't first hand inform you all and generate a full report on why I broke up with him.
Him, I'm sorry you're not the one that initiated it.
Anyone whom I have ever liked before, I'm sorry I didn't realised I'm not good enough for all you young masters.
Relatives, I'm sorry I ain't as outstanding as any of your children.
Strangers, I'm sorry I haven't met you.
People whom I will meet in the future, I'm sorry in advance in any way I may piss you off
I just have a talent of messing up my own life...
HAPPY?!
Now just leave me alone...
So alone...

Mission Buy-New-Shoes failed.
Can't find any to mi fancy...
Sigh.
I was on the train just now, and there was this pair of girls beside me, talking loudly. The conversation was like "How to tell if someone likes you?". And I was like..."Good Point...". Actually I also dunno. What would some one do if some one likes another one?
Treat the person better bah?
But also very vague lei...
If you treat the person better, the person might not get the point,
which bring me to another question. If you like the person, do you have to let the person know you like him or her?
I mean... If you like the person, there's a possibility that the person might like you too right? But wat if the person dun like you... I mean, if you go, "Hey, I like you." But the person goes, "I'm sorry I don't."...
Biang eh...
Crushed sia...
Hmm... but if you don't say anything... Nobody will know anything!!! My God... This is so confusing...
Anyway, back to the girls, so one of them was saying, "Dunno whether he like me a not leh... He like say he don't want to be involved... But he like so nice to me..." And I was thinking... "Hello girl, nice to you means like you meh?" And she continues, "But then hor... The other one like me but I don't like him lei... Should I accept him a not?" And I was like, "Don't like him accept for what?" Eventually, they reached a conclusion that the guy most probably likes her and they moved on to talk about some korean star...
Sometimes, I really envy those people who will have people liking them wherever they go... It must be a nice feeling, knowing that some one has a crush on you...
Will I ever be loved again?

Yesterday after work I went out with my collegues to have dinner!
We went to Vivo as it is the nearest to our office at Science Park 2. At first we wanted to eat Thai Express as Cheng Yang suggested. However, we end up eating Thai Accents at the second floor instead.
Okay lah... The food is so so... But the view is superb! It's like overlooking the entire habour(The part of the sea outside Vivo) We had like rice and dishes, after that desserts: Mango Sticky Rice and Sweet Tapioca
After that we went to shop around a little... Like walk around... And our final stop was Sweet Recipe! We ordered four cakes and shared them among the 4 of us. The order includes: Marble Cheese, Americano, Chocolate Indulgences and Chocolate Banana. I didn't like the Americano as there is not much taste but the biscuit at the bottom is nice. The Marble Cheese is nice, but I don't like the oat biscuit...I think my favourite cake will be one with the cake of the Marble Cheese, with the biscuit of the Americano and the chocolate layer on Chocolate Indulgence... Mwahahaa...
I will be watching Horseman tonight and look out for my review!!!

Last night i watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... OMG! Willy Wonka is like so CUTE!!!!
Personally, i feel that the kids who have gotten the golden tickets each represent one side of human.
The fat boy who fell into the chocolate river represents greed, as well as selfishness. He fell into the river because he was greedy for chocolate, and when Charlie said that he would like some chocolate when the fat boy offered him, he said, "Then you should bring some yourself." How often do we find ourself in this kind of situation? Holding on to things that we already have such that others can't have it? When we go to buffet, I always see people chiong for the items which are small in quantity, and the items the are expensives. I don't understand, shouldn't you eat items that you like? Why must we choose the food that we don't like just because they are expensive?
The same applies for a relationship. As the saying goes, it's always better to be loved than to love. But isn't it very unfair to the side that loves you more than anything in the world thinking that you're feeling the same for him but in fact you aren't? I've read across somewhere that if you don't love a person, let the person goes so others can love him or her. If you love a person but the person don't love you, let go of the person as well.
Next, the little girl who keeps chewing gums represents pride. She is proud of her acheivements, too proud in fact. Too full of herself, like many others in the world, who eventually get themselves into one trouble or another.
The rich spoilt girl is also a reflection of greed and self-centredness of some people in the society. Many a time we find ourselves wanting things, and desire others when we finaly get what we want. The greed of man is never ending, the list always continuing.
The boy hooked onto television reflects stubborness. How many times do we find ourselves face to face with a stubborn person? Stubborness leads to downfall eventually as these people tends to do things their own way even though it may not be the smartest way, or even worse, the wrong way.
LAst but not least, our dear Charlie reflects kindness, love and thoughtfulness, things long gone in the society. What happened to the times where people can jsut leave their doors unlocked, without having to worry about burglers? What happened to the times where kids can just run free in the streets, whithout having to worry about bad people trying to do harm to them? How about times where people just smile to total strangers without having to feel like an idiot?
With progess, comes the loss of virtues...

My mood theme for now will be "Winterwood" until further notice.
Why winterwood you may ask.
Well, imagine a tree in winter. How would it feel?
Lonely?
Cold?
Bare?
Lost?
That's exactly how i feel now.
Dun ask me why,
perhaps its because everything seems so bleak...
I've haven't had any replies from anywhere,
even the supposedly easy-to-get-into NIE hasn't got back to me...
Seems like everyone around me has already gotten their replies except for me...
I'm not harbouring much hope...
I simply dun dare to...
I've learnt the hard way that the higher your hopes, the worse the fall.
Well, my backup plan at Uni Global UOL seems just as bleak as I was told that its a first come first serve basis. I've only applied like on Monday, when my supervisor at work drove me down specially during lunch time.
A lot of people have already received replies from SIM, meaning there isn't much space left for me... Well... If i can't get in, i have three choices:
1) Continue working till Jan and apply for RMIT Jan 2010 intake which closes application at 1 Oct.
2) Continue working and then wait for UOL next year's intake and APPLY EARLY.
3) Go kill myself.
I can't decide between 1 and 2...
My friend told me not to worry as God has plans for us all. Well, tell me the plans before i lose my sanity...
Shine Your holy light upon me and guide me out of the darkness...
Amen.

Haven't got any replies from anywhere.
Good God, I feel so abandoned...
What if I'm rejected everywhere?
What if even NIE also dun want mi?
What if NIE and SIM accept me at the same time?
Even worse,
What if both dun accept mi?
Why did I allow miself to fall into such a situation?
Amanda asked mi not to worry cause the Lord has plans for us all...
In that case,
Lord, can you give mi a tinny winny hint about what plans do You have for mi?
Sigh...
Failure in life...

Although he is really mean, he's true to Lily Evans to the very end...
I like his dedication in love,
And how he played double agent.
As an extra note, I love him even more when Alan Rickman was depicting him...
He's really a great actor as he manage to portray Snape as some more even more interesting in the movie.
His scene though short, are always captivating...
Alan Rickman has a charm when depicting Severus Snape that makes it almost impossible to move your eyes away when he comes onto the screen...
His every movement gives out elegance, true to his name as the Half Blood Prince...
Alan Rickman did a great job with all the expression...
Even a cold expression that Snape always wears on his face, there's a lot of emotions going on in his black eyes...
His voice is eerily soothing...
LOVE YOU SNAPE!!!!!!

Corpse Bride
Wonderful storyline, nice clash of colours and out of the world imagination put to work.
I love the songs, I love the bride (I believe she was named Emily), the groom Victor, the spiders in the underworld and the maggot in Emily's eyes.
The songs are catchy and meaningful, just like the Omppa Lumpas' songs in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The way how Victor went from being afraid of Emily to falling in love. The way he went from wanting to escape from the Land Below back to the Land of the Living, to how he could bear to leave.
The way the spiders put life across in the song "Tears to Shed" when Emily was heart-broken that Victor had lied to her. "Everybody knows that's just a temporary state, which is cured very quickly when we met our fate!" the spider sung when Emily said that she couldn't compare to Victoria who "still breathes there".
I especially loved that part where Emily sacrificed herself so that the man that she loves, Victor, could be with a girl "worthy" of him, Victoria.
There's only two things I didn't like in the movie
Victoria, and the fact that Emily turned into hundred of butterflies after she sacrificed herself for Victor...
Eww... I almost screamed out in fear when the hundred of butterflies appeared on the movie screen, looking all too ready to pop out of the screen all thanks to 3D technology...
Hotel Rwanda
This is a movie based on the true account of one of the most horrifically ugly events in recent history, when the Hutu extremists of Rwanda initiated a terrifying campaign of genocide, massacring hundreds of thousands of minority Tutsis (who had been given power by the departed Belgian colonists), while the rest of the world looked on and did nothing.
The truth factor was what make this movie really attractive for me. The touching effect of the idea that the main character Paul was able to display such courage in the face of adversity just multiply with the fact that this was an true account of a great man whose couragous acts saved many others.
When the European guests and staff were all flown away from Rwanda, all that were left was just Paul Rusesabagina and a couple of the local staff.
Not only was he able to think fast on his feet to think of ways to save all the lives that lies in the very hotel that he lives in, he did not give up hope when people whom he trusted to help them disappointed him time and again. The local police that Paul always worked with no longer wants to be involved in helping to save the many refugees that the hotel was putting up. The rebels threatened to enter the hotel at any minute, everyone was scared out of their wits.
The UN did nothing to help but just took care of their own Euporean brothers and sisters, leaving behind the helpless refugees in a dangerous situation. With the backing of the United Nations gone, Paul and his many refugees found themselves to be danger constantly. Paul was only left with a mind and no military backing to work with. In the movie, he made used of human sympathy to try to get people in helping them. He requested individuals in the hotel whom had contacts with influential westerners to call them up.
As quoted from his lines, "Call them up, say your goodbyes to them. And when you say goodbye to them, make sure that you make it sounds like you are reaching out through the phones to hold their hands. Make them feel that if they let go of that hand, we will die. We will SHAME them into helping us." The tatic worked and soon, help arrived from the United Nation.
Overall, this is one of the few shows that can get me crying almost through half of the show. And if you had watched this movie before, personally, I feel that the most impact-ful part of the show was when Paul and his staff were driving in a foggy area. The ride suddenly turned very bumpy, and Paul said, "Oh my, you have driven off the road!" HIs companian replied that, "I'm very sure I'm still in the road!" And Paul frantically answered, "Stop the car! You are going to drive us into the river!" But when he got out of the car to investigate, he came to realised that they were indeed still on the road. HOwever, the road was now littered with the bodies of the murdered Tutsis. They were actually driving over the bodies, that was what made the ride very bumpy. The whole impact of the scene was terrific.

People always say Scorpios are very mysterious
I agree
Scorpio THE SCORPION- the sign of Transformation
Scorpio's are intense and have an ability to wait a very long time before they take action to put right a wrong
Scorpio are known not to forgive or forget easily- Someone ho had been in the war path of a scorpion is probably off somewhere still licking the wounds as this particular star sign is notorious for their fiery temper
Learnt enough about Scorpios? Here's my favourite is the following:
Scorpio never forgets a gift or a kindness, and it's richly rewarded. Conversely, he also remembers an injury or an injustice, but there are different ways of reacting
The eagle will crush the enemy so the enemy learns never to hurt him again, win the fight, and leave the defeated to go his own way
The deadly nocturnal scorpion will first sting, then plan destruction, then sting again. He's not content with merely evening the score. He must totally destroy the enemy, or at least top him
The typical scorpion stinger will lie awake nights figuring how to get even. These scorpions are seldom content with forcing the shoe on the other foot to teach enemies how it feels. They glue the sandal on with cement
Scary huh? Now you know not to step on my tail...HEHEHE...^^
sometimes people aren't going to trust you,
and it may be for no reason at all.
sometimes, people just judge you on what they think you will do,
on who they think you are.
and there's really nothing you can do about it.
but just remember one thing,
they're not cheating you, they're cheating themselves.
